While the Assassin’s Creed series is now a behemoth in the gaming world, what many gamers don’t realize is that it started off as a Prince of Persia game. The video above showcases a number of games worked on by the uploader, sound designer Alain Larose. And at around 1:30, we get a rare glimpse of the 2004 project, Prince of Persia: Assassins. This is what would eventually be branched off into a new project that we now know as Assassin’s Creed.

It’s always interesting to see footage like this of our favorite games. It shows us what the developers originally had in mind and sometimes it even provides hints as to where a game series might head in the future. Overall, this is a pretty fascinating video.
