Funcom’s new MMO The Secret World officially launches today, and here’s the launch trailer to commemorate the occasion. This one in particular is very well done and really gets one excited to try out the game with its mysterious and beautiful art direction and music. It tries to portray the game as something very different than whats currently out on the market.
There’s only a few reviews out, but so far the game has gotten a positive reception. It’s launch comes on the heels of yesterday’s news of Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas stepping down in order to work on other projects in a different capacity, something that was apparently planned and not a sign of trouble at the company.
Launching an MMO is no easy task, but this is Funcom’s third attempt at it after games like Anarchy Online and Age of Conan. With their experience, they should be able to steer The Secret World in the right direction and hopefully make it last for years to come.

Yep, I have been playing nothing but TSW… it really grabs you. Well, at least me.
Yeah I need to start playing it soon, I haven’t played a good MMO since Anarchy Online. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of the same vibes from TSW. Once I pick it up, we should definitely team. Well as long as you’re a loyal follower of Dragon
