During Sega’s Sonic Boom event at San Diego Comic-Con, a brand new version of Sonic Adventure 2 was announced to ludicrous fan reaction. Not much is known yet, but the game is part of the new “Sega Heritage” program which could mean more classic titles could be on the way.

It’s not clear if this will be a simple port or if it will have enhanced HD graphics. However, a port of the game did make a brief appearance last month on the XBLA which showed some enhancements to the visuals. We’ll find out soon enough, as the game will be coming to PSN and XBLA later this fall.
