According to a recently-leaked letter, Ubisoft will be creating a development team which exists for the sole purpose of creating DLC for Assassin’s Creed 3, all thanks to the high number of pre-orders which the game has received thusfar. A photograph of the letter was leaked via Kotaku, which received it from an unspecified source.
“We are currently in the process of creating a complementary development team that will begin working on post-launch episodic content to continue the Game of the Year experience that Assassin’s Creed 3 will undoubtedly deliver,” it says. “With a dedicated team specifically to this content we plan to set the bar for quality DLC in our industry.”
One could assume that this means the game will have a lot of DLC, but a ‘Season Pass’ was also mentioned in the letter.
“We know you’re familiar with the ‘Season Pass’ concept and, beginning shortly, we’ll start to take pre-orders of our very own. We’d love your continued assistance in informing pre-order customers that a better value is available for those who pre-order Assassin’s Creed with the ‘Season Pass’.”
