Electronic Arts has just announced the third installment in their co-op shooter series, and it’s coming under the name of ‘Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel’. The game is meant to be a reboot of the series and will once again center around Alpha and Bravo, the Tactical Worldwide Operations agents. This game is aiming to be “more mature” than previous titles, so that means that there will probably be less humor, likely to the chagrin of the fans.
As the game’s title probably implies, it will be set in Mexico. EA has said that Alpha and Bravo have been thrown “into the middle of a drug war conflict” in order to fulfill “an assignment full of corruption and deceit” whilst “allegiances begin to blur and they face off against a ruthless opposition.”
“With meaningful, seamless co-op gameplay at its core and explosive new tag-team features, gamers will have to work together tactically and strategically as they push through a city dominated by one of Mexico’s deadliest drug cartels.”
