In a surprising move, after saying that they had “no timeline” for the release of the DLC for PS3 and PC, Bethesda today announced and released Dawnguard for the PC. The surprise announcement was made earlier today at QuakeCon, and the DLC is now available on Steam for $19.99; it’s already the top selling item for today.

And if you haven’t picked up Skyrim yet, now’s the perfect opportunity to get both as the game is currently half off and selling for $29.99. There’s still no word on a possible release date of Dawnguard for the PS3, which is now the only platform missing out. Add in the fact that this version also had the most issues at launch and you just can’t help feeling some sympathy for PS3 players.
