Aksys games, the North American publisher for BlazBlue, has announced that they will be hosting events in celebration of the the 3rd anniversary of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger and the game’s outstanding sales figures over that period of time. The game was released in North America and Europe on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP between 2009 and 2010. Since then, the game has sold 1.7 million copies worldwide, with almost half of those global sales taking place in North America at over 800 thousand sales.
Aksys will be hosting three contests from August to October which include frivolous prizes like a Jin dakimakura, a 3rd anniversary banner for the series, as well as signed artwork from the game’s developer Arc System Works. They have also lowered the price of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend to $39.99 for the Xbox 360/PS3 exclusive version and $29.99 for the version also available on Vita.
