Tomasz Gop (pictured above) was formerly a part of CD Projekt RED, he was the producer for The Witcher 2: Assassin’s of Kings, but he got so burnt out from all the work that he decided to leave and work on his own project. This project has remained mostly a secret until now, initially it was called “Project RPG”, now the game actually has a name, and it’s called “Lords of the Fallen”.

The people who are actually working with Tomasz on the project are German studio Deck13 and publisher/developer City Interactive (unless you’re from Poland, you’ve probably never played their games). Lords of the Fallen is being set in a “medieval fantasy world” which is under the rule of a fallen god which will pit the player against apparently evil opponents. The game’s focus as a core experience will be to make an excellent “hardcore action-RPG”, but there will also be a focus on moral ambiguity in the story, with Gop adding that “the story plot and twists allow approaching the conflict between humans and demons from various perspectives.”
