Adrian Chmielarz, the creative lead for Gears of War: Judgement (pictured above), has left People Can Fly, the subsidiary studio of Epic Games in Poland, along with two other management leads. Epic Games president Mike Capps released the following statement:

“Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki have parted ways with People Can Fly and Epic Games in order to pursue other opportunities, which they will announce of their own accord. Over the past decade, they have been instrumental in building People Can Fly into the talented team that it is today. We wish them well in their future endeavors. People Can Fly remains excited to release Gears of War: Judgment to fans early next year.”

Chmielarz confirmed that Judgement is still “in great hands,” and noted that we will get to see what lies in wait for his future plans “soon enough.” The other two higher ups that departed haven’t released any word as of yet, but it’s likely that their departures are directly related, so they may be working on something together.
