There are rumors going around which suggest that Nintendo will run into problems in producing the Wii U which will push the release of the console into December (as opposed to the rumored November 18 release). CVG‘s anonymous sources suggest that Nintendo is facing a “manufacturing nightmare” for the technology that’s packed into the GamePad controllers.

The sources say that the release was supposedly intended to be in November in order to get in on Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales, and also noted that the problems with manufacturing “are believed to have hampered Nintendo’s plans on announcing a Wii U launch date.” Nintendo has a history of waiting until the last minute to announce a release date for their products, so we don’t know for sure if any of these rumors are true at all, but it’s certainly a possibility.
