Pre-orders have opened up for Fatshark’s upcoming medieval third-person shooter/slasher War of the Roses, and with it, the extra goodies that come along with the exchanges. There’s not just one limited edition of the game for pre-order, but two. One is the “House of York Deluxe Edition” and the other is the “House of Lancaster Deluxe Edition” in accordance with the historical events that the game respectively associates itself with.

Each edition of the game will come with its own (possibly faction-specific) goodies, such as royal helmets, breastplates, charge, crest and sword. They also both come with the soundtrack for the game. But here’s where it gets a little strange, the House of York Deluxe Edition is available on a considerable number of digital download providers like GamersGate,¬†GameStop and Green Man Gaming to name a few, but the House of York Deluxe Edition can only be bought on Steam. A bit odd. Both versions are going for $30 on pre-order for the time being, and the game will launch on October 2.
