The Entertainment Software Association has released a list of 381 higher education faculties which now offer game development courses, certificates, and degrees. For the first time ever, all 50 states across the US offer a game development program.California is the leading state in game development courses with more than 70 schools offering courses in the field.
Alaska, Arkansas, Maine, Mississippi, and Wyoming all jumped onto the bandwagon this year. The ESA admits this is attributed to the growth of the industry, as well as its foray into new technologies such as mobile phones.
