Just when you thought it was safe to go outside and socialize, the director of Cowboy Bebop; Shinichiro Watanabe and studio Bones (Fullmetal Alchemist + Brotherhood, Eureka Seven: AO, Rahxephon, Ouran High School Host Club, and Wolf’s Rain), are working on a brand new series. The studio has yet to disclose the title and time of broadcast for this new anime.

Studio Bones was originally founded by former studio Sunrise employees, producer Masahiko Minami, character designer Toshihiro Kawamato, and animation director Hiroshi Osaka (R.I.P.) in 1998. All three had been working on Cowboy Bebop as their respective job titles with Shinichiro Watanabe, prior to establishing their own studio.

For those of you not familiar with Shinichiro Watanabe other works, he was recently responsible for the adaptation of Yuki Kodama’s manga Sakimichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope), on which I did a preview of. Watanabe also has a list of histrionic works in the past such as Genius Party, Macross Plus, and Samurai Champloo.

About Rin

[Editor-in-Chief] I've been playing games and watching anime since I was six years old. I'm as old as a vampire, so you do the math... You can usually find me (when I'm not busy) on Xbox Live or on PSN. I also like to read a good manga every now and then. I greatly enjoy critiquing anime, manga, and video games. I'm also an admin on this site, and I'm known as the cranky one here, so don't make me unleash my ban hammer on you!
