Gran Turismo 6‘s existence is something that everyone can agree upon, but the platform it will actually come out for is a different story. Rumors have been surfacing for the past few months that it would be coming to PS3 instead of PS4, and there has been plenty of confirmation of this so far. From SCEE Senior Vice President Michael Denny bluntly stating that it would be coming to PS3, to a listing on Newegg last week showing the same thing.
While that listing is now bereft of any useful information besides platform, it originally showed that Gran Turismo 6 would arrive on PS3 on November 28 for $59.99. Now we have yet another listing, this time from Italian game store Multiplayer, which also says it will come out on PS3 on November 28. Coincidence? I think not. Especially since the store is even sporting some pretty official looking box art for the game.
We’ll probably have to wait until E3 in June to see what’s the deal with Gran Turismo 6. So far, though, I think those expecting the game to be a PS4 exclusive or for it to be released on both platforms should prepare to be disappointed.
I took a screencap of the listing just in case it gets taken down or modified. You can see it below along with some alternate box art that was shown earlier this morning on the store.
