A trailer for the remastered version of the anime adaptation of Osamu Tezuka’s Princess Knight was released earlier today. The trailer was streamed by Right Stuf Inc.’s Nozomi Entertainment Division, who licensed the anime back in October of 2012. The remastered series will be released in two DVD sets, with the first shopping in North America on August 20, followed by the second on October 22. Princess Knight originally ran for a total of 52 episodes from 1967-1968.

Earlier this month Nozomi Entertainment announced that the series would be delayed due to the “acquisition of additional source materials.” The restoration process will use footage from multiple sources, including the edited and cut broadcast version. The downside to this process is that the Japanese audio will not be able to be synced with the edited footage. The end result is that this release of Princess Knight will be dub-only.
