NetherRealm’s DC fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us has added a familiar face to its roster, Mortal Kombat fan-favorite Scorpion. The yellow ninja, which made his debut back in 1992, has gotten a redesign but has kept all of his charm. Sadly, he has lost his gory fatalities since this is a T-rated game. He will be available starting today for PS3 and Xbox 360 with a price tag of $4.99/400 Microsoft Points. Those who bought the $15 Season Pass will get good ol’ Scorpy for free, along with the yet to be announced fourth downloadable character.
Along with a taste of Mortal Kombat, NetherRealm also released three new costume packs for players to devour. First is the free Compatibility Pack 3, which will come with Doomsday’s “Containment Suit.” There’s also the Blackest Night Pack 1 which comes with new costumes for Superman, Doomsday and The Flash. Finally, there’s the Red Son Pack 2 which includes Soviet-themed outfits for Batman, Green Lantern and Deathstroke. These two packs will set you back $3/240 MSP and are not included in the Season Pass. DLC for the Wii U version of Injustice is expected to appear sometime this summer.
