My Neighbor Totoro

Disclaimer: weeaboos with a podcast is crude, lewd, and full of dudes. If you are easily offended by dark humor, foul language, and rampant lunacy, then stay far, far away. You have been warned.

On this week’s episode: It’s the start of a fresh new season for our podcast and we’re shaking things up a little bit. We start things off by giving our thoughts on what manga we’ve been reading this past week, Sleep and Forget by Rumiko Takahashi. Afterwards, we discuss the retirement of Hayao Miyazaki from feature films and look back at his illustrious career and pick our favorites. Will “The Walt Disney of Japan” return one day, or has this master of cinema accomplished what he set out to do? We then follow that up with the recent announcement of Mighty No. 9, a spiritual successor to Mega Man designed by the man who helped create him, Keiji Inafune. Will this new title be able to live up to the pedigree of its predecessor? Finally, we wrap up with some notable news such as Hideki Kamiya’s idea of bringing Bayonetta and Okami to the Nintendo 3DS, and the Xbox One’s newly revealed release date.
